Almost a year after its launch, Babel continues to gain new clients and projects for the Influence department as well as in the advertising, consultancy, contents and digital fields. The following businesses and institutions, amongst others, have entrusted the Influence team with their programmes since the beginning of the year:

RFF (French railway network) – National Level-Crossing Security Day;

GIE Public Transport: National French Public Transport Day – community management, press and public relations campaign;

Les Bobines (Parisian restaurant and cinema) – press relations;

European Commission Directorate General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion – Europe-wide press monitoring and analysis;

Pasteur Institute – 125 year anniversary campaign;

Janssen pharmaceutical companies – crisis communication and change management;

Pixmania – brand platform consultancy and strategic marketing;

Urbact – training in social web usage and press relations consultancy.

The Babel digital department has meanwhile been entrusted with strategic digital consultancy and the creation of new websites for clients including the National Audio-visual Institute, the office for Geological and Mineral Research, the François Lefebvre Publishing House, Generali, EDF, the Hermés Foundation and Villages Nature (a joint venture between Euro Disney and Pierre & Vacances Center Parcs).

In the advertising field Babel has gained clients such as Time Out Paris, the iconic online listings magazine, Saint Gobain-Isover, world leader in insulation, and Bouygues Immobilier, French leader in real estate promotion. The agency has also launched campaigns for French high-street bank Banque Populaire, Vinci Park and Korian and been entrusted with the annual reports of international health leader Sanofi and the French employment website l’Apec.

About Babel
Babel is a new strategy and communications agency created in June 2012. With over 160 employees, it is the foremost independent agency on the French market. Presided over by Laurent Habib, ex-CEO of Havas France, Babel is managed by ten associates and founders who are all renowned experts in the fields of communication and marketing. Paul Wauters, 11-time Cannes award winner, is the Creative Director.
Babel is an “integrated” agency which aims to simplify its clients’ lives by acting as a partner throughout the ‘value-adding’ chain, from the strategic conception to the deployment of a communications programme. The agency combines all communication and marketing expertise at its highest level (influence, advertising, contents, design, innovation, events and digital) and works with a broad range of brands – from corporate to commercial – in all their areas of expression – from the web to the shop floor. Babel associates strategic consultancy and a team dedicated to product and service innovation with all these areas of expertise and also has a “user intelligence” department within the agency which applies a unique methodology for user studies.

Chief marketing officers (CMOs) are always looking for ways to expand their companies’ brands through marketing and public relations (PR) communication efforts, including in new and unfamiliar areas. How does one successfully pursue marketing and PR opportunities in foreign countries and industries? Our latest, free e-book features a variety of different insights from 40 Worldcom partners across more than 15 countries addressing this topic. We, much like CMOs, are in the business of building relationships and as global markets expand, CMOs are focusing on connecting on a more local level.

Participating partners took a 10-question survey that looked at key PR and marketing trends. Among some of the questions:

What communication content do you most often create for your key audiences?

Is social media outreach a top priority for you and your clients?

How would you advise a CMO or marketing leader to begin building relationships with key audiences?

In addition, many partners submitted specific data about their country, city, state and/or industry that addressed the following topics:

Health of the economy

Marketing environment

State of earned media

Significant online influencers

Download your free copy and find out everything that our partners had to say! Also, check out our special section about 10 questions that CMOs should consider before pursuing global marketing and PR campaigns.

Kaizo and Worldcom hired to revitalise brand of new European organisation across all business domains; from TVs to Document Solutions

Kaizo has been hired by Sharp Electronics (Europe), the European subsidiary of Japan’s Sharp Corporation, the world-leading inventor and manufacturer of audio-visual, communication, health, environmental and information products and core technologies to revitalise the brand across Europe.

Leading its Worldcom partners, Kaizo will be working with Sharp to articulate the new vision in Europe following its transformation from a country led organisation to one European sales led business, as well as supporting launches for innovative products. The account will be led by Rhodri Harries MD of Kaizo and Steph MacLeod Director of Kaizo.

Ingrid Helderman, recently promoted to Manager Corporate Communications for Sharp Electronics (Europe), said:

“At Sharp, we have always prided ourselves on amazing technology and world leading innovation. We’re excited to be taking a proactive new European PR approach, one which matches a new dynamic vision for one European business. Our aim is to communicate with one consistent voice, whilst maintaining a personal touch at a local level.”

Rhodri Harries MD of Kaizo:

“This is a dream win for us as Sharp is one of the most underappreciated innovators and a brand that many of us hold a personal emotional attachment to from the past. We have big ambitions to support the business across its sectors, to excite customers about the technology, the innovations, the products and the applications. Despite their size globally and their heritage, we see Sharp very much as a challenger brand today, so will be developing campaigns with this in mind. We are delighted to beat off stiff competition from global networks for this brief.”

The brief covers European strategy and content development as well as local market campaigns in UK, Germany, France, Spain, Benelux and Nordics, with Worldcom Partners; HBI (Germany), Yucatan (France), LF Channel (Spain), Wisse (Netherlands) and Oxenstierna & Partners (Stockholm) working with Kaizo.

Sharp Europe operates as one European business with a number of domains. These include Consumer Electronics, Home Appliances, Visual Solutions, Document Solutions and Solar. The brief will cover all the domains to include a broad range of products; from Europe’s leading large screen LCD TV brand Aquos, to its extensive selection of professional LCD monitors and integrated software solutions, its microwaves and steam cookers, air purification systems and refrigerators, to its comprehensive portfolio of award-winning document management solutions and hardware.

Since 1988, Worldcom Public Relations Group has been the world’s leading partnership of global public relations firms, with more offices in more cities and countries than any multinational firm. As the field explodes internationally, there is a growing need for a central reference point that defines global public relations industry terms. With this in mind, we have created the Worldcom International Public Relations Glossary.

The glossary contains over 350 terms submitted by Worldcom partners from across the globe. Submissions include the basic communications language, latest media terminology and industry jargon commonly used among public relations professionals. We hope that the glossary will serve as a source of education for international PR professionals as well as their clients, prospects, employees and anyone interested in global marketing trends.

In keeping with this idea, we have consolidated the terms into an E-Book format that allows for easy sharing and access. Worldcom_Glossary_1st_edition, download your free copy today!
