Microsoft appointed Gellis Communications to be responsible for managing the Microsoft EMEA press office in Brussels over a five-year period. This included the conception and execution of numerous communication campaigns on issues such as the patentability of computer software, IT skills and cyber crime.
The Solution: Our first step was to ensure a continuous monitoring and a rapid response to all upcoming policy-developments. Part of our PR support was a strategic plan, the construction of targeted communication campaigns and advocating the Microsoft stance in policy-debates such as the patentability of software and IT skills. We developed relationships with key players of relevance for Microsoft within the institutions, the press community, the voluntary sector and academic circles. We also provided assistance in the organisation of Microsoft events and conferences.
The Results: We implemented a daily management of the press office in side. One of the achieved aims was the conception and successful execution of numerous communication campaigns on a variety of topics. Gellis Communications established pan-European media relations and developed various press material in several languages. Our team organised and managed around 20 press conferences and press roundtables with international press and keynote speakers.
